Direct BA flights to BA getting UK property investor’s attention

The number of Brits visiting the Argentinean capital Buenos Aires (BA) - South America’s second largest metropolitan area – is expected to rise now that British Airways (BA) has announced that it will launch a new daily non-stop service from London starting on the 27 th of March. The service, which currently involves getting a connecting flight in Sao Paolo in Brazil, will lead to more British tourists visiting the region but it could also lead to more UK property investors that are looking for higher returns on their investment.

This week a new five-star country club, called Camino Real, which will be located just 35 minutes from Buenos Aires, Argentina, was officially launched in the UK at the O2 Arena in London, with a view to attracting British holiday home buyers and investors.

Set within a 770 acre Polo & Country Club, lake view hotel suites are available from £87,500 and the projected net annual rental yield is 18-19%. Prospective purchasers can apply for up to 60% LTV non-status loan, repayable over a 10-year period and they will also be allowed to stay at the country club for two weeks a year, including free polo lessons.

Knight Frank identified the Argentinean property market as a ‘future high growth luxury residential market’ in its Global Property Wealth Survey last year and Jones Lang LaSalle described Argentina as one of the ‘most favourable destinations’ for hotel investment in 2011.
