Baltic apartment prices update

In Tallinn – Estonia, the average apartment price per sqm decreased by 5.2% in November 2010 having previously increased by 7.6% in October, it had increased by 12.7% a year earlier according to Ober-Haus.

The average transaction price fell by 942 €/sqm in November, with the highest number of transactions during the year at 616, indicating that despite the fall that the market is picking up momentum.

Riga – Latvia, the apartment prices remained relatively stable in November 2010 with no real change, prices have risen 4.8% in the past 12 months however remain 60.9% below their peak of May 2007.

Apartment prices in Vilnius – Lithuania have increased by 0.4%, with the average price at 1,189 €/sqm and have increased 2.9% in the past six months having increased each consecutive month.

Prices are still 0.7% down on the past 12 months and 40.1% below their December 2007 peak. In other main Lithuanian cities (Kaunas, Klaip?da, Panev?
