A new report by Nexus Planning, entitled Planning for London’s build to rent future has revealed which London local authorities have positive planning policy in place for build to rent developers, which are neutral and which are negative.
According to the report, almost half (49%) of local authorities in the capital still have negative planning policy towards build to rent, while 21% are neutral and 30% are positive.
In London, there are approximately 60,000 new build to rent homes that have either been completed, are under construction, or have been granted planning permission and Nexus says that over the last 12 months there have been a number of improvements in terms of policy facilitating build to rent development.
