Average Spanish property prices rise

 Average Spanish property prices rose to €130,761, 15.9% higher than 2004, according to fresh figures from the National Institute of Statistics.

ECB increases interest rates again

The European Central Bank (ECB) has raised interest rates by 25bps bringing the eurozone's main borrowing rate to a three-year high of 2.5%.

The rate increase was made on the back of a strengthening eurozone economy and is the second quarter-point rise made in the last four months after the bank increased rates from 2% to 2.25% in December.
