Work beginning on Kier's latest Trade City scheme

Work will begin this month on the first phase of a speculative development by Kier Property, the development arm of the Kier Group, on its new industrial, warehouse and trade counter facility in Frimley, Surrey.

The Trade City scheme on Frimley Road will see the 10-acre site transformed from derelict buildings into a 160,000 sq ft industrial hub with units available on a pre-let or pre-sale basis.

Helena Kolsaker, development manager at Kier Property, said: "We are delighted to be able to announce the works starting on site. I am excited to see it finally taking shape and being developed into a fast-moving industrial facility, which will generate jobs and income for the local economy."

The first phase, on a site located with easy access to junction 4 of the M3, totals 56,000 sq ft, with units ranging in size from 2,700 sq ft to 20,000 sq ft.

Construction expected to start in early October 2014.
