The eurozone annual inflation rate fell in November for the first time since June 2021 to 10.1%, according to data released on 16 December by Eurostat.
In Portugal, there was an inflation rate of 10.2%, down from 10.6% in October, and much higher than the previous November when inflation was just 2.6%.
According to the European statistics office, annual eurozone inflation fell for the first time in 17 months to 10.1%, compared to 10.6% in October and 4.9% in November 2021.
In the EU, the annual inflation rate fell in November to 11.1%, down from 11.5% in October and 5.2% in November 2021.
Among EU Member States, the lowest annual inflation rates were recorded in Spain (6.7%), France (7.1%) and Malta (7.2%) and the highest in Latvia (21.7%), Estonia and Lithuania (21.4% each).
